The Story of a Discovery (2) – The first tests continue

(2) THE FIRST TESTS CONTINUE –

You are probably surprised with what you have just seen. We repeated the experiment with more patients and we discovered the following: that the fetuses react with mouth and tongue movements when they hear music… they are trying to vocalize. But the only way for the fetuses to hear the music the same way we hear it, it’s by intravaginal emission.

But we thought: “What is that?” We would have to start a scientific research in order to understand this reaction, and know at what moment was happening, what was the cause, which neural circuits were activated… But we also wanted to find out what are the fetuses really hearing, which is not what we thought initially, and why there is a difference between intravaginal and abdominal.

We immediately got in touched with otorhinolaryngologists, neurologists, other gynecologists, sound engineers and more specialists, but nobody could help us.

The otorhinolaryngologists did mention that in no case would cause any harm to the fetuses’ hearing; the neurologists said that any sensory stimulation is good; and the gynecologists –and we are the fetuses’ GPs– we explained to the Ethics Committee, that approved the study’s methodology, that this device represented no risk.

They couldn’t help us because back then all this facts were still unknown. Have in mind that what I’ll explain next regarding the fetal hearing is new worldwide. Is something not explained in the history of medicine and it’s the result of three years of lots of medical research, studies on the physics of sound, anthropology, music and many more.
